Vice President's Message

Hi, My name is Hilary Fournier. I am the VP of Membership for RI State PTA. I am also wife to a wonderful husband, Peter and mother of four great kids ages 14 to 4!

Besides my current job in the PTA, I am also a Co-President of the PTA at Riverside Middle School and former President and Treasurer at A.M. Waddington School in Riverside and am a current member of East Providence High School PTSA.

The reason I believe so deeply in PTA is because I realize how vitally important parent involvement is to student success. You don't have to be at the school everyday (and I am not) to be involved. However, showing your children how much you value their education goes a very long way in their respecting and valuing their education.

I would like to see every PTA at 100% Teacher AND Parent participation. Joining PTA is the first step in creating a bridge between the home and school.
