President's Message

Welcome to the Rhode Island PTA's website. Rhode Island PTA, chartered by the National PTA in 1909, and its local units are affiliates of the National PTA, the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. Membership in the PTA provides access to an established network of volunteers at the national, state and local level. When you join the PTA, you become a part of an organization that unites over 6 million parents, educators and community members in efforts to ensure the educational, social, and physical well-being of children and youth. Rhode Island PTA is a volunteer organization of approximately 6,000 members in local units throughout Rhode Island. Over the last 10 years, Rhode Island PTA has advocated at the state level on a variety of issues that affect children and their families, including:

  • Parent/Family Involvement in public schools
